- Life skills education through youth organizations, movements and clubs
- Integration of HIV prevention information into secondary schools and higher secondary curriculam.

By 2009
By the end of the 5-year period, these activities will yield the following results for youth and adolescents:
- 80% will have knowledge about HIV/AIDS and how to protect themselves from infection
- 60% will be able to get access to STI services
- 50% will be able to access condom as and when needed
- Policy Issues : there will be improved commitment and support from policy makers, religious and community leaders, parents and teachers for programmes to prevent young people getting infected with HIV
- Evidence Based Programming : the impact of advocacy efforts and programmes will be strengthened by the collection and use of relevant data on HIV/STI and risk behaviour among young people

Roles & Responsibilities of the key players under this project:
1. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as Principal Recipient & NASP
- Policy development.Overall planning with key stakeholders
- Support in advocacy effort with ministries and others
- Ccoordination between National programme, SC-USA and other DPs, youth organizations, researchers and others involved in HIV prevention activities targeting young people.
- Participate in supervision/monitoring and evaluation process with SC-USA and Sub-Recipients (SR).Fund disbursement to Management Agency (SC-USA) and its auditing
- Communication and reporting to GFATM and Management Agency (SC- USA)
2. Save the Children, USA — The Management Agency
- Overall responsibility for planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, evaluation and management of the project in collaboration with PR/MOHFW and NASP
- Selection, contracting and provision of technical assistance to sub-recipients/implementers
- Programme development including development of ,workplan, budget and M&E plan
- Advocacyat various level independantly as well as with SR
- Grant and financial management
- Support in capacity building of MOHFW, NASP and sub recipients for effective implementation of activities
- Monitoring and evaluation both financial and programmatic
