Implementation Network
With funds from GFATM, Secretary of MOHFW acts as the Principal Recipient (PR) and Chairperson of CCM (Country Coordination Mechanism) and Save the Children, USA is the Management Agency (MA) providing management services for implementing the project. The MA is responsible for effective management of implementation through Sub-Recipients in coordination with MOHFW and NASP. Sub-recipients (SR) as implementers of the project have been selected from a wide field of NGOs, private sector organizations, professional bodies such as academic and research institutions, and CBOs.
Sub Recipients
NGOs for social mobilization of communities and young people, behavioural change communication and support, project implementation, service delivery and condom promotion, advocacy, training and capacity building, materials development and distribution, monitoring and evaluation, coordination and liaison with government partners.
CBOs for awareness building and sensitization of community and religious leaders, parents and teachers to open up channels of communication leading to their active involvement in further advocacy and policy change.
Private sector organizations for social marketing
of condoms and communication channels reaching young people.

Professional bodies such as research and academic institutions, for research and evaluation activities, technical assistance for capacity building of NGOs, collecting and analyzing data for advocacy and programme planning.

Implementing Partners(Sub Recipients)
Country Representative, Save The Children USA, has signed agreements with Heads of partner organizations who are going to implement the project . The lead partner organizations are MATTRA , HIV/AIDS and STD Alliance Bangladesh (HASAB), PIACT-Bangladesh, Padakkhep Manabik Unnayan Kendra and ICDDR,B with 12 other associate organisations.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as chief guest. Among other dignatories, Additional Secretary of MOHFW, Director General of Health Services, Director General of Family Planing, Chairperson of Technical Committee of NAC, Representatives from UN agencies and development partners, USAID, DFID Bangladesh; Program Manager, National AIDS and STD programe (NASP); other high officials of DGHS Representatives from SC-USA, NGOs, Media professionals were also present at the event.
